WDF’s mission is to provide any aspiring water polo player, no matter where they live, with an opportunity to develop its maximum potential.

This starts with raising the profile of the sport, worldwide. Financial resources are fundamental to the development of the sport at the grassroots level (swimming pool time, quality coaching) - and the only way for the money to finds its way to water polo is by getting more eyeballs on the sport.

Secondly, it is about empowering and giving visibility and exposure to individuals, clubs and organisations which are contributing to the development, promotion and growth of the sport.

​

Lastly, but possibly most important element, is bringing the waterpolo community in one place - to discuss, comment and debate the present, but also the future of our sport.
